AFMI Training School : 7 Sep—3 Oct 2009
A small modification was made for the training this year in terms of the contents and the length. Last year 12 Asians (Korea, Philippines, Indonesia) finished the first 40 days lecture module led by Chong K.(BB), Kevin H.(GT), John K.(INS), Mimi(WBT), Bill(Philip), and Gary W.(GT) and then some of them joined field practice for a month and following debriefing and strategy coordination led by John K. It took almost 100 days.

For this year AFMI provided much more intensive and selected lecture subjects in a shorter period, i.e. 4 weeks. Chong K. John K. Gary W. and Young K. (Dean, AFMI Training School) dealt with attitudes/calling of God/inductive way of interacting, thinking, and studying as frontier workers, critical issues on mission paradigm, insider perspectives, and related practicalities, and business as mission in a synchronized way altogether. All 14 trainees (Korea, Uzbekistan, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, USA) joined the training and fellowship for 4 weeks.

It is a great joy indeed to see how God is at work to mobilize much more Asians as the 11th hour workers in His vine yard to finish the remaining task in frontier mission areas. We sensed the urgent mobilization issue in China and Central Asia. Thank God for sending OY from China and BM couple from Uzbekistan as the prospective leaders who are willing to accelerate the mobilization movements in their countries after this special training experience.

There is growing awareness on the importance of this kind of training not only at KL base but also at other areas where such mobilization is now sprouting.
Even though we ran the training only twice up until now, the need will certainly be increased and we like to invite you to pray for this decisive role of the AFMI Training School as the motivator and euipper for the Asian workers who are willing to stand on God¡¯s cutting edge for the remaining task.

We those who are involved in this new initiative would like to appreciate all the participations that are made voluntarily by sharing recourses and manpower, among which especially are Open Vision Centre (ministered by Ki Hong K.)
